From the beginning of time, humans have been an intricate part of God’s story. According to Psalm 139:14, we are fearfully and wonderfully made and were given gifts to help serve the world. With the increase of technological advances and modern life, humans have lost their connection to God, Earth, self and community.
In this mini unit study, we aim to pull back the ancient veil of interconnection and interdependence. We are unplugging from the modern world to connect in a deeper and lasting way. A healthy individual is the key to creating a sound collective, and within the next four weeks, we will start from within and work our way out, beyond ourselves. We will discover our worth, our role and our purpose in this massive story of creation, connection and community. Throughout our journey, we will learn about ourselves, trees, art, nature, numerous cultures and how they have found connection throughout time, daily disciplines to help cultivate a heart and mind of gratitude, mindfulness and prayer, the power of our thoughts and words, brain anatomy and so much more!
